With fifteen
restaurants participating, there is a cuisine for every palate. The
offerings are varied. Some restaurants are offering specials at great
prices, others have multi-course meals. There will be free items,

Looking for that special
culinary delight? Looking for that special place to go for a special
occasion? Looking for something different to treat someone special?
Look no further than Sandpoint, Idaho. From January 15, 2010 through
February 16, 2010, 15 of Sandpoint’s finest restaurants are presenting
Dine Around Sandpoint, a culinary extravaganza featuring the talents
of local Sandpoint chefs. There is something for every taste and
budget with prices set at $15, $20, $25, $30 and $35 for complete 3
course dinners and/or specials.
In addition to enjoying
some of the most creative and delicious food in Northern Idaho, diners
will be eligible to win prizes for dining out including the grand
prize, dinner for 2 once a month for an entire year at 12 different
participating restaurants.

kicks off during Sandpoint’s Winter Carnival with many of the
participating restaurants sponsoring Taste of Sandpoint on January 14,
2010. Taste of Sandpoint features samples from Sandpoint’s best
restaurants and chefs. Check out

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
WHAT IS IT?
It is a collaborative
effort by 15 Sandpoint area restaurants to jointly promote going out
for dinner during January 15, 2010 to February 16, 2010.
HOW WILL IT WORK?
Each participating
restaurant will offer 3 course special meals in addition to their
regular menu items. There will be something for all tastes and
budgets. The special 3 course meals will be offered at $15, $20, $25,
$30 and $35 per person. Restaurants may offer specials at more than
one price point or multiple special meals at the same price point.
The specials can also change on a weekly basis.

WHY WAS THE JANUARY
THROUGH FEBURARY DATES SELECTED?
The time frame of the
promotion was selected to coincide with the beginning of Winter
Carnival and the ending of Mardi Gras. Winter Carnival and Mardi gras
are events sponsored by the Downtown Sandpoint Business Association.
IS DINE AROUND SANDPOINT
PART OF TASTE OF SANDPOINT?
Dine Around Sandpoint is
the “official” sponsor of Taste of Sandpoint, an annual event put on
by the Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce and the official kick-off event
of Sandpoint’s Winter Carnival. Taste of Sandpoint will take place on
January 14, 2010 at the Sandpoint Events Center. Many of the Dine
Around Sandpoint participating restaurants will be showcasing
samplings of their food at Taste of Sandpoint.
HOW CAN DINERS GET
INFORMATION ON DINE AROUND SANDPOINT?
A website,
www.dinearoundsandpoint.com, has been developed to promote the
event. It contains all the participating restaurants, their
locations, websites, special menu items and other events that will
take place during Dine Around Sandpoint. Diners are encouraged to
check out the website weekly to review the special menu items that
participating restaurants are featuring.
ARE THERE OTHER SPECIAL
EVENTS OR ACTIVITIES PLANNED DURING DINE AROUND SANDPOINT?
Yes. Participating
restaurants may host or have other events such as wine tasting, music,
dinner concerts, etc. There will also be a host of other special
events going on during Winter Carnival and Mardi Gras
ARE THERE OTHER SPONSORS
AND PROMOTERS OF DINE AROUND SANDPOINT?
Yes.
Blue Sky Broadcasting,
through it’s radio stations 106.7 the Point, 95.3 KPND, 1400 KSPT and
K102 Country will begin promoting Dine Around Sandpoint on January,
11, 2010.
The Bonner Count Daily Bee
will be advertising the event throughout the January and February
period.
Sizzle’n Cuisine, an
e-newsletter published by Idaho Cuisine will be promoting the event in
their weekly newsletter that goes out to over 2500 “foodies”
throughout Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington.
Food Services of America
will be promoting it on their dining website, Dining out in the
Northwest.
Advertisements will also
be placed in the Inlander.
Dine Around Sandpoint will
be featured in the Sandpoint Dining Guide produced by the publishers
of Sandpoint Magazine.
ARE THE PARTICIPATING
RESTAURANTS PROMOTING DINE AROUND SANDPOINT AT THEIR RESTAURANTS?
Yes. Information
regarding the event will be included in check inserts that will be
given to diners. Each of the participating restaurants and other
Sandpoint Area businesses will be displaying posters featuring Dine
Around Sandpoint.
WILL DINERS BE ELIGIBLE TO
WIN PRIZES?
Yes. Diners that eat
dinner at the participating restaurants during Dine Around Sandpoint
from the period January 15, 2010 through February 11, 2010 will be
entered into a drawing to win prizes (wine, gift certificates, etc.)
including a grand prize of a monthly dinner for 2 for a year at 12
different participating Dine Around Sandpoint restaurants. The winner
of the grand prize will be announced at the Follies during Mardi Gras.
Each time a diner eats out
during the above noted dates they will be given a ticket to fill out
with their name, address and phone number. The completed tickets will
be retained by the restaurants for inclusion in the prize drawing that
will take place at the Follies.
